Galley Common Ward

Galley Common Ward includes Galley Common village, The Shires Estate and Whittleford and forms part of Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council and covers the area to the north of Stockingford, around Bucks Hill, the area around Chesterton Drive, Chapel End and Plough Hill.

 

Galley Common Division at Warwickshire County Council now takes in parts of Grove Farm and west Stockingford. You can see the division map on the Local Government Boundary Commission website.

Galley Common is a community in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England, situated just to the west of the town centre (approx 3 miles).

 

The community is a ward of Nuneaton and Bedworth with a population taken at the 2011 census of 8,233.

 

The village comprises a school, several small shops, riding stables, a social club, an industrial estate, and farm land.

 

The main social areas of the village are The Stute, St Peter’s Church and the primary school.
