Plough Hill Road set to re-open after lengthy closure

Plough Hill Road will be opened by Monday as planned

Good news! Plough Hill Road is set to be re-opened by Monday 16th April as expected following a lengthy closure.

The work is nearly complete and the barriers are likely to be removed over the weekend.

I’ve also looked into the hedgerow on Plough Hill Road that was removed during the water leak and have been assured that Severn Trent will have it reinstated within the next five weeks once the weather starts to improve.

Also, the ‘Welcome to Galley Common’ sign near the new entrance to the Taylor Wimpey site was removed and damaged by contractors a while back. I visited the site back in February to speak top to the foreman and the sign had been taken away for repair.

If it can’t be repaired I have asked for a replacement and if the original artwork is not found I’ll ask them to replace the signs on Park Lane and Tunnel Road at the same time so that they are all the same.
